I recently updated to 21.04 and found that the apt-get install method does not work as there is no release available for this version yet. I am currently installing from source, and working through some issues I’m having with that.
I was wondering if there is a timeline for a release for 21.04?
for now, forcing the version might work.
and incase the builder reads this…
could the ffmpeg option be turned on?
I activated the builds for Ubuntu 21.04, packages are available now. Thanks for the hint.
Concerning ffmpeg: If I remember correctly, we had troubles getting the code running with different versions of avcodec, that’s why it’s disabled in the binary packages.
You can always make screenshots from python and postprocess them manually into a video using the ffmpeg command line tool.
