Dg 2d + dg 1d (l2)

Dear NGSolve community,

What is/are the best ngsolve practice/s to solve a 2D DG problem with a 1D DG problem on the 2D domain boundary ?

With H1 space, we can use the “trace” operator to get a 1D compatible bilinear formulation (on the 2D domain boundary) with the 2D bilinear formulation. It is not so easy with a DG formulation with a L2 space.

I’d recommend going to HDG, there should be everything there. For DG on surfaces I don’t think the connectivity is implemented.
